Toots in Solitude

Peebles High Street

Took a trip into Peebles this morning to hand my car over to Luke while his is in for an MOT.
Later I got the bus home and got off at The Bridges where I was amassed with hosts of studenty-type youngsters all in search of, presumably, Halloween costumes.
I know that the tall lad who had his shoe and sock in his hand as he tried on hugely high heeled, glittery shoes and sandals would have made a far more entertaining blip but I felt that the camera would be safer left in it's bag than run the risk of being in the vicinity of his lunging topples.
One costume shop had a long queue outside with a teddy bear bouncer allowing only a certain number of customers to enter at any one given time, like school children in sweetie shops.
I do think the lads have more fun thinking out their outfits than the more serious, and competitive ladies.
