Operation shoebox ... too much stuff!

I'm filling two shoe boxes this year, both of them for 8 year old boys. They have to be handed in at the end of the week and I've left the shopping till the very last minute. Today I went to get stationery and saw so much stuff that an 8 year old would love and now can't fit it all into the shoe boxes ... time to go and buy some boots! We were given a list of things which have to go into the boxes, including a packet of chips which were stolen by Hershey earlier today.
I start a new job tomorrow which I'm really excited about. I'm still doing my old job but it's winding down for the year, so I was grateful when I was unexpectedly offered this really interesting short-term contract.
