Sniffing out old paths
It was over 25 degree before 9 this morning and not a breath of wind. There were lots of walkers and dogs on the mountain and poor Magellan, my 14 year old beagle found it rather confusing and I had to run after him a couple of times as he headed off in the wrong direction. His hearing and sight are dodgy but sense of smell as sharp as ever.
They are chopping down more pines, I know this is necessary but still mourn the loss of these beautiful, shady trees which give homes to so many creatures. My dogs and I will have to sniff out new paths next time we walk, as these don't have the same feel too them.
Enjoy your Sunday.
