Côte d'Azur

It's a long drive from the Pyrénées Orientales to the Côte d'Azur but we were there by late afternoon. I do not know this area but it seems to be full of gated communities. Our apartment is on one and it has a bit of a Stepford Wives feel about it! It is set up on the hills and the impressive Mediterranean pines tell you immediately where you are. It is comfortable and I am looking forward to discovering more of the area. The coast and city will be busy even at this time of the year so we may try to get off the beaten track.
