I'm back

The goldfinches are beginning to come to the feeder now, after some months of absence. I hadn't really noticed the pattern on their back feathers before!
Blue tits and great tits also visit constantly, and many chaffinches. A greater spotted woodpecker (minus tail feathers) has begun to make daily appearances.
Yes, I was in the kitchen cooking for a few hours today, which is why I saw so many birds! Early morning and lunchtime seem to be favourite feeding times.
