Is it always green?

Of course the answer is no - but I've never seen the salt marsh at Grange over Sands covered by the sea. I hope that I will over the next couple of days. I hope you lie the layers in the sky, the sea and the green of the marsh plants, then the brown of the channel...

As you can see, it was a little grey when we arrived here this afternoon having stopped off at the Italian Orchard to meet old friends Wendy and Stephen for lunch in Preston. They are going to Cockermouth tomorrow for a few days - to the hotel where they went for their honeymoon 35 years ago. I've told them to look out for Chloe!

Just been for a swim and going to settle down to tea and a dvd - Life of Pi.
