Dinner with friends

Today was our last day in Cat Ba and we organised our bus/boat/bus combo to Hanoi for tomorrow then we had some time on our hands. Fred went for a walk and to the beach while Andy did some music composition for a bit. Later, as it cooled down we both went to the beach. Andy did some Capoeira moves and we met up with some guys who had been on our boat trip yesterday.

They are a French family, Fred, Sonia and their three year old daughter, Olivia. He is a climber and was having a go at some of the rocky cliffs on the beach. We got chatting and they are travelling for a year by bicycle. already having been through 11 countries in Europe, to Turkey and then they flew to Vietnam. They are now five weeks into their journey in Vietnam. Pretty amazing as they are travelling with their daughter. They were heading to India but, after chatting to people, they've decided it would be too dangerous with a young child on bikes so will do it another time when they aren't cycling and are sticking to SE Asia this time. They have about 11 months in total. We went for a couple of beers and had dinner together. The Tiger bottle has a leaf from Olivia and a toilet paper rose made by Fred.
