No Redwing just Red Toadstools

An afternoon out and about looking for Redwings was unsuccessful again despite trees and hedgerow heavy with berries.

A stop at a second local park (different from the one with the Dippers!) produced nothing but lots of hungry Mallard. There were some lovely trees with bright autumn colour, but my eye was drawn to these small mushrooms on a damp grassy mound beneath a tree with yellow berries the size of cherries. I've no idea what that tree was so I'll have to do some research on that one.

I believe this is called Fly Agaric (Amanita muscari) and is poisonous, it looks like it should have a pixie sat on top.
