Green Anole

Green anoles are medium-sized lizards with long tails. They are the only anole native to the US. About as big as my little finger, they are sometimes called chameleons because of their color-changing ability and they can be anywhere from emerald green to brown or gray. When stressed, they turn dark brown, and this guy was clearly stressed. I became fairly stressed myself, when, as I was sitting at the computer, I became aware he was in my hair. I knew he had jumped on me, but assumed he was just using me as a staging post to the ground.
