It Rained....A Lot

We had so much rain through the night that the river came up and spilt over. Maisie has had fun splashing about...Oscar prefers to watch. We have had ducks and geese all swimming about in the garden today. I'm on standby to move the cars up the road if need be. As I write it's pouring yet again. I'm meant to be going out with my girl friends tonight but unsure if I'll make it.

I got up this morning at my usual 5.15 to the sound of the pouring rain. It was hard to get out of bed, I could easily have rolled over and gone back to sleep..but I didn't. I got ready and off to boot I went. I wasn't the only one who bothered there were six of us. But I'm a bit miffed at our boot instructor. It was pretty obvious she didn't want to be there. Granted it really was tipping down...but if we didn't want to be there we would have stayed at home. So I was put out when our session only lasted half an hour which included our warm up and cool down. I don't think I got anything out of it apart from soaking wet.

Needless to say nothing got done in the garden today...my ironing is up to date though.
