So many spiders about at the moment...they literally get everywhere. Goodness knows how he managed to get into my cup of tea. I'm just grateful it didn't sink before I saw it.

Bit of a wasted day today. I had to stay in for a parcel....it didn't turn up. But dad got an email saying no one was here to sign for it. Rubbish I was in all day. Well that was like red rag to a bull so I phoned them as dad had paid extra for next day delivery too. It turns out that a lorry was blocking the road and the van couldn't get through....so it didn't. Let's hope it arrives tomorrow as I'm bored out of my brains waiting indoors. I was even too worried to go down the back of the garden and work in case I missed them.

You can get down the back as the water has gone down. You do need wellies though. Talking of wellies I did look a right state going out last night. I had to put black long bin liners on and tape them to the top of my legs before I put my wellies on. The water was higher than my boots and it was the only way I could keep my jeans and feet dry as I had to walk the 50mts up the driveway to meet my friend Ingrid. She has a 4x4 but even that couldn't get up the driveway last night. Anyway I had a nice evening out and didn't have to watch the water rise.

I have decided to get my own waders after last night.

The water isn't going away quickly as it usually does which I think is a bit worrying.

Off to Zumba now. I need to work double hard as I was going to go for a run today but wasn't able to.....maybe that's a good excuse!
