Multicultural exchange in progress and going well

Today the builders were here to fix the side of our house and starting a slightly longer job fixing our chimneys. The hole being fixed here has steadily grown over the last 15 years but seems to have finally met its match.
Interesting that here in mid Sweden there are two builders originally from the former Yugoslavia fixing a house belonging to two people originally from Britain. We've all been living here, working, paying taxes etc for between 15 and 30 years.
A certain political party claims multi-culturalism never works and would really like to send us all home, not realising that this IS home, and in the case of our builders their original home has disappeared from the map! Oh well, simplistic answers are always preferred to realism in some political parties...
Yet again Janet and I blip the same event, but in Jan's case you see the more-or-less completed job.
