Monkey on My Back!

After our lovely day at the WFI meeting yesterday, my M-I-L came back to our place for a sleepover, as did the Bandits, while Mummy and Daddy went to a birthday party.

We had a lovely evening, with Indian Takeaway and vino (me and mother in law obv!), and the kids more or less stayed in bed until 8am this morning which is a record for them!

I never miss an opportunity to pick up either of the kids, and carry them around whenever possible, as I realise that all too soon they will be too big/unwilling for me to carry. But there definitely is a touch of magic in feeling wee soft arms clasped around your neck while you give them a cuddy-back around the house.

So, this is Ida and I about to go out Conker-hunting, while Arlo and Pops watched a DVD, and I have taken a 'Selfie' of the two of us in the kitchen just before we left.

Have you ever seen a wee face quite so bursting with mischief? How I love that little lassie. I do hope she doesn't inherit my nose!
