What do you call 1000 women in an old church?

Women for Independence, that's what.

The most amazing day, this photo was taken before the church was completely full, but I can assure you there was not a seat to be had by the time we started at 11.30am.

Marvellous speakers, Carolyn Leckie, Jeane Freeman, Elaine C Smith, and many, many ordinary women who just wanted to say their piece. Inspirational, motivational, emotional, we ran the gamut of it all.

Our theme was "Where do we go next?". Where indeed: we are certainly not going back in the box!
