St. Peter's Square...
After a long time St. Peter's Square has been restored to us. Well at least the north side has. St. Peter's Square has always been problematic, it's a busy cross section in the city and not a place to linger. The new look square looks like it will be. Apart from the trams, traffic will be banned.
They still have to build a new tram stop, build the plaza between the library and a spectacular new office block called No 1 St Peter's Square and build an entire new office block between the existing square and the Art Gallery. It looks like a quality development that is going to be an asset to the city.
In this picture you get to see four of Manchester's iconic structures; the Midland Hotel, Central Library, the Town Hall Extension and the Cenotaph.
