Exploring the Surroundings

We woke to a gorgeous view from our front window out to the sea and the soothing noise of the waves against the rocks…and then also beautiful sunshine, on a staycation at the end of September!

We headed towards Wadebridge where we hired some bikes and cycled to Padstow. Padstow was a beautiful little village by the sea where we wandered around, bought a LOT of locally made fudge and then had some lovely fish and chips at a chippy owned by Rick Stein before cycling back to Wadebridge. The bike ride was really good fun and I think Steve is finally convinced to buy a bike at home next Spring for us to enjoy rides along the canal on sunny days together. We had a nice cup of tea and wander around Wadebridge before driving back to St Isaac where we went for a wander around the village and down to the harbour where today’s blip was taken.

We watched a lovely sunset over the harbour before heading back home for some drinks before bed.
