Traitor's Ford

Today is a misty damp sort of day and Jane and I went for a walk across the Oxfordshire hills. We did about 8 miles in total. The only mishap was when Jane fell and cut her knee. I didn't realise the effects of yesterday's beer tasting would last so long.

This picture shows the view through the mist down towards Traitor's Ford where we had a picnic lunch. Local legend has its name comes from a skirmish following the Civil War battle of Edgehill, when several local Parliamentarian sympathisers were executed by Royalists.
