Made with love by Mum for me

Right until the end of Mum's life she knitted covers for coat hangers.

Each hanger was padded before stretching the finished knitting over and around it. Dad often helped with this then Mum would hand sew the knitted part. Sometimes she added an embroidered flower or two, or maybe a bit of paua shell or a button.

This is just a few of the many coat hangers Mum gave me. They're great for my clothes but more importantly part of Mum greets me when I open my wardrobe.

I'd better skedaddle. I'm out for dinner and the rugby. Yes, that's right, the rugby. I'll let you tomorrow if it's a couple of hours I'll never get back ;-)
