My Study Station

It's 4 minutes till tomorrow and time for bed.

Peggy woke up with what we thought was the flu yesterday and after a visit to the Dr. it is probably strep throat. We halted our get-out-of-town plans and resigned ourselves to enjoy the confines of our own domicile.

We enjoyed a relaxing Valentine dinner for two on the patio, visiting the first nice outdoor meal in a while during a break from the storms.

Since we both needed some homework time, I decided to use the nice weather as a reason to reclaim my favorite study station. With an area heater warming me, a bottle of wine to further warm me, a cigar to enhance the experiance and a texting cell phone to chat with my love, I gathered my books and assignments and dove right in.

The only breaks this evening gave me were to stretch my neck occasionally to gaze at the starry sky. Mars was beautifully alligned with Procyon and Sirius just east of Orion, as it should be in the moonless night. Next semester I hope to take an Astronomy class to get an better understanding of what I'm looking at.

Well, it's now tomorrow and my wine is gone, my cigar is history, the propane that kept me warm is empty and cold, my reading is finished and so am I.

Good night.
