Country Life
Today's dog walk in the lovely autumnal sunshine, with the smell of freshly cut grass and swarms of tractors out & about making hay and silage. Took some tractor photos thinking they would be my Blip for the day especially the unusual and rare MB Trac and Deutz Intrac which I managed to get in the same frame.
However.....we finished the walk with a 15 minute stroll in the forest. The dogs were fairly tired and I thought nothing of it when Luna fell back for a minute, presumably to do what one has to do on a walk. The Blip shows how she looked when she reappeared a minute later. I DO NOT want to know what it was.
Back home, straight out the gate and back on to the fields and hoping one of the streams was deeper enough. No luck, the good weather has meant little water, Luna's spine remained dry. On with the garden hose and a bottle of soap, a very effective but ecologically very friendly, neutral smelling soap.
Thought I had done a good job and thought it best not to tell Angie. She was home early for a Monday and thought she would enjoy the weather and go for a quick walk with the dogs. When they got home just as it got dark, I was surprised she had let them swim as they wouldn't be able to dry off outside. The reply - Luna smelt like a ..........
Have to reconsider my thoughts on environmentally friendly soap.
