Our Journey is a process

Perspective

This is far from what I would have liked to upload tonight, but I am still feeling very much under the weather and wasn't able to get outside much today. So, I decided to work on interior shots, since I will be doing taking the photos of the Colorado house to put on the internet. Also, the table and chairs that you see here is also going to be sold. They were hand made by John Whittecomb, a furniture manufacturer in New York about 50 years ago. Since Whittecomb is no longer in business, his furniture pieces are in demand.

This was not the best of the series that I took, but I liked the contrasts and structure of the wood. The color version was o.k., but I really preferred the black and white.

I also spend some more time going through photos, letters and other items of family history. I find it fascinating to see pictures of people I have never met, read their letters and touch their momentos and begin to form impressions, putting the pieces together of what that person must have been like. The inevitable questions arise. What were their goals and dreams? Why did they follow a particular vocation? What made them marry? I understand why historians find these personal items so valuable.

Thank you for all of your kind words yesterday regarding my short hiatus. I deeply appreciate it. Hopefully, I will be able to get out and shot something more worthwhile tomorrow.

Have a great week!
