Meet the Morgans

By familymorgan

I was woken by Isaac shouting on me this morning and then Amelie shouting on me...turns out a little cry is enough to wake a Mummy instantly but shouting takes long enough for the smallest person to be woken too. We came downstairs and had breakfast in the morning light and then said goodbye to Daddy before he went to work.

For the first time today I began a task I knew my children wouldn't let me finish, putting some of my Instagram photos that I had printed ages ago into an album. I have some large ones (from Photobox) and some tiny ones (social print studio, my favourites!) and im sorted the tiny ones first only to realise that the big ones were older so I would be doing first. Despite many interruptions for drinks, resolving disputes, brushing rapunzels hair and nappy changes I managed to get the big ones all in and fill the album, still all the little ones left but I have ordered another album for them.

Isaac napped, I showered and Amelie helped make her chosen lunch (tuna sandwiches). Isaac woke up just as I finished his (egg mayo sandwiches) but was really grumpy, not enough sleep!

After lunch, for the second time today, I began a non-child-friendly task, this time, painting a chair with chalk paint. It turned out really well! And only a little bit of paint on the children...

Inside again for drawing and reading before dinner, baths, an episode of the clone wars then bed.

Isaac, a boy of few words, said quite a lot today. I asked him where his dummy was and he said "I don't know" and later when we were reading together he said "Hello Peppa". On the phone to my Gran and later mum he said "Bye bye Gran" and "Bye bye granny" respectively (both not spot on but clearly what he was trying to say) And he has said apple a few times too.

Amelie has been carrying around her "Starting school" book she got with her school shoes and filling it in, tracing all the letters and drawing in the right sections. Quite enthusiastically as well! I'm hoping this means she is feeling a bit more excited to start a week on Monday (gulp!)
