Today has just flown by, even Amelie said to me "Mummy, today has been a reeeeeally quick day" She then proceeded to tell me that sometimes the clock moves extra quickly and sometimes very slowly, she was quite sure about this. I guess she's not entirely wrong...

I painted another chair this morning (after I lazed in bed for an hour watching a Kate Bush documentary, Chris got up with the little people!) They all played with duplo then Amelie had B from next door over to play, they were in and out, enjoying being able to switch between houses!

After B had gone out Chris did lunch for himself and A&I and I went for a run, despite saying I wasn't going to do 10k again this week I ended up doing 10k.

Home for a shower and lunch then Amelie and I made some cakes. She did really well, doing almost everything by herself. She cracked both eggs and didn't get any shell in the egg mixture, I was very impressed! Especially since she basically mashed them to get the egg out! She also accidentally emptied nearly a whole bag of sugar into the butter but we fixed that...

I started making chilli for dinner only to get completely paranoid that the mince was off so I had to send Chris out to get more. It had oxidised in the fridge so was brown, normally ok but I'm sure it didn't smell quite right. So I had to make it for a second time!

Quick tidy up, baths and bed for the children. Wine, pjs, chilli and a film for us!
