Thoughtful Thursday

I have no idea what this is but they were everywhere in the thick grass near a corn field that I wanted to blip. They flew up by the dozen as I walked through but settled not far away and stayed quite still. I spent ages trying to get a good shot and they were quite difficult to see in the late afternoon sun. When I got to the corn field the light was all wrong so I crossed my fingers that I would have at least one useable macro shot. I hurried back feeling a little guilty that I was out so long as dinner was only half done and hubby ad been working hard all day. I should have been more thoughtful.
