On Guard

We went for a walk after breakfast, from Avon beach to Mudeford Quay and back. Most of the weekend visitors seemed to have gone after yesterday's deluge, but there were still a few families crabbing. A bit of sunshine where we were, but huge dark grey clouds inland. The odd sandwich tern and the first ravens we had seen here - we noticed their croaks first, and then their sheer size. The lifeguard didn't have a lot to do - there weren't many people on the beach.
Eleven hours later, this all seems a long way away (well, it is) after a lot of sorting out for J'sMum and a long drive north. But a good birthday weekend which all enjoyed.
