Deansgate-Castlefield

On my early morning walk to Oxford Rd - and with plenty of time for the meeting - I had a look at the ongoing work around the new Deansgate-Castlefield metro-link station.

It is still a work in progress, but it is looking good. I am standing on the new footbridge linking the railway station to the metro-link station. There are new stairways up to the metro-link, and the tracks have been planted with trays of sedums, which look really good. And I like the planted green wall which sits on the corner with Deansgate (see extra).

The view is of Deansgate Locks, alongside the Rochdale Canal - my regular walk to Oxford Rd.
