Duck Racing!

Seriously. Remember the pig racing back on 13th July?

It's summer, it's Bank Holiday so it's damp and cool, and what can we think of to say we had a good time today?

Duck Racing!

Despite dismal weather, there was a respectable turn out at Shepshed Carnival, organised by the Lions. The main event in the arena was watching 3 flocks of Indian Runner ducks do tricks and turns while being herded by Border Collies.

I did laugh though. Wish I could have stayed for the obstacle course, but George and Kat arrived. Had to return home to put the filling in the sponge cake I'd made and consume it with tea. The whole cake disappeared within ten minutes.
