Plucked Before Their Time

Workmen were removing the bottom growth from the lime, horse chestnut and sycamore trees at the corner of the estate when Basil and were walking home. They'd left the debris all over the site, which made it impossible to follow the path home, although they'd cleared it later.

These unripe sycamore seeds were plucked before their time.
