A Different Day
Yesterday's blip was of a study day on the boat...in the rain. Today was also a study day, only very different.
After church, Peggy requested another quiet day to work on homework. Well, a rainy boat worked out well, so a sunny boat should do quite nicely.
Same boat, same harbour, very different day. It was clear, beautiful, sunny and warm.
It was different in our tasks as well. Yesterday, Peggy worked on her USC assignments for classes she's taking and today she worked on her CSUF assignments for classes she's teaching. Yesterday I was reading Nathaniel Hawthorne for a lit class I'm taking, and today I was reading Earnest Hemmingway just because I wanted to.
After all our studying was complete, we walked down Balboa Island's main street and perused the shops. We dined, once again, at Picante y Martins, then strolled down to Art For The Soul to read the love poems.
I would love to have sailed the boat out in the 17+knot breezes today but it would have been quite a challenge for Peggy to keep her notes together in those winds while heeling at about 15-20 degrees.
For some it would have been another study weekend. For us it was another weekend spent together.
Notice the name on the sailboat on our port side: Affaire D' Amoure, Affair of Love. Look beyond the books, notes and assignments and you will find that this weekend was part of our continued Love Affair.
