Rainy Day on the Bay
Peggy and I both had homework to do. To avoid distractions, Peggy suggested that we go study on the boat. I pointed out that it would probably be raining but the boat would be cozy and quiet.
We headed down in the early afternoon and wanted lunch before diving into homework. We walk over the bridge to Balboa Island and got some chicken soup for Peg and a carnitas burrito for me at Picante Martins, a little hole in the wall on the island's main street that has great Mexican food.
As the rain began to fall we quickly took the lunch back to the boat and added margaritas to complete our festive meal. We did some reading and, after a while, Peggy crawled into the bed in the v-berth for a little nap.
I woke her up to witness a beautiful rainbow off our stern.(I think she might have blipped it!)
This photo was taken of the mast through the plexiglass hatch cover.
It was a majestic finale to a wonderful afternoon.
