Leaving Atlantic City

Well it was a good morning to sleep a bit later than usual between the cloudy sky and the hotel room air conditioner that was set somewhere between freezing and sub zero. I hadn't bothered checking the thermostat and crawled into bed not realizing it was that cold in the room. I couldn't believe when I checked it in the morning that it was set on 60F. It felt like a walk in freezer. I turned it up and then enjoyed a nice warm shower.
We met our friends for brunch downstairs at the restaurant and afterwards sat at the penny slot machines for a while before we left.
The plan was to drive from Atlantic City to our usual beach in Avon by the Sea but the weather was not cooperating. Since I thought I would have a beach blip today I was on the lookout for something interesting. As we were driving out of Atlantic City I snapped this photo of the water tower with the painted fish on it and the name of the town.
We drove home and after spending some time with the grandchildren we decided to take everyone out for dinner. It's always an interesting time with a 3 year old and a 6 year old. We have to get to be early tonight because we have to be on the road to Pennsylvania early for our white water rafting trip. I hope I get a good Blip!
