It's Like the Twinkling Of An Eye

The sun was shining this morning, but even from inside the house the nip in the air was obvious.

The crack of daylight was lower than it had been yesterday, and although the air was clear, it was obvious a sleeved shirt would be needed.

Open toed sandals were maybe not the best option and there was a definite tingling of the toes on the first couple of miles.

As the day progressed, the sun got higher, and the chill evaporated.

A dance around the wild flowers at lunchtime was the perfect escape from the grind of the spreadsheet.

Finding Brenda and Mave in the midst of the petals and leaves was a delight. They were discussing the fact that today was a bad hair day, and no amount of teasing was going to make it better.
