Dream of keeping hold of...

This year, I grew cat mint, or catnip.

Mostly I did this because I never fail to be amused by the reaction of our cats to new cat nippy toys, or the stunned, astounded look they have on their face during the after effects.

It grew slowly at first, and gradually a lot of little leaves appeared.

Of an afternoon I would sit and wave a leaf in front of this mongrels face. She would walk away disinterested. Her sister on the other hand, almost removed my hand on several occasions happily eating the leaves almost as keenly as her current favourite packet food.

Eventually we got flowers, and after checking out the Font of All Knowledge that is Wiki, I removed the stem and hung it upside down to drive out.

Fast forward two weeks, and I have a little posy of dried flowers, which I carefully took, and bashed to buggary on a little plastic sheet, and then I sprinkled the resulting crumbs in a variety of places.

Bean again, was neither here nor there. She sniffed, she ate the particles which lay near her, and then settled back to sleep again.

Beau; she writhed around in ecstasy on the rug in the living room, on the chair in the dining room, on the wooden floorboards in the hall.

Bean watched on with interested, and then walked over and jumped her. She gets her pleasure through meaningless violence; and then sits like this to look "cute", and get away with it.
