Ferry to Devonport

First time down at the waterfront in Auckland for quite some time. There were a number of ferries coming in and leaving from the ferry terminals. I was on Princess Wharf, and the ferry is just leaving past the end of Queen's Wharf. The building, the end of which can be seen, on Queen's Wharf was built as a temporary solution to the absence of a "Party Central" site for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Nicknamed The Cloud, it remains in use.

In the distance can be seen Mount Victoria or Takarunga (behind the ferry) and North Head (below the rising sun). Devonport is at the base of Mount Victoria and King Edward Parade runs from the centre of Devonport along the edge of the harbour to the base of North Head.

The ferry is easy to see in large
