Days With German Lessons
Are always long but fun too.
Read a (very) short story by Wolfgang Borchert, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'd recommend having a read about him too. The Wikipedia article has a link to Das Brot which was the story I read.
It doesn't sound like much but it is quite a read.
Afterwards we read a bit of a Rebus book that had been translated into (pretty poor) German. There really are things that can't be translated - and trying to shoehorn words into a text really doesn't work.
Sundown is a good time for telling stories.
