There's no place like home

A certain somebody mentioned yesterday came pattering into our room this morning at 5:10! I could have cried! She cuddled for a while and was plicated by the iPad for some of it but all she wanted to do was run about. At home this is fine. In a holiday house with four other people sleeping / wooden floors / slam able doors, this is not

By 7:00 she had run us tagged, we were drained. We talked of driving to the beach just to give the others quiet time, but as they were up and dressed before we had decided to go, we stayed.

Charlotte was a proper imp this morning, mostly attributed to another late night and an exceedingly early start. Come around 7;30/8:00 we took her upstairs to help pack, she cuddled up to me and fell asleep. Meant I couldn't pack but she so desperately needed the sleep. She woke up around 9:15, demolished a cooked breakfast and seemed much happier. Car packed and we were on our way just before 10. We had talked of staying till after lunch but decided it was better if Charlotte could sleep in the morning rather than the afternoon.

She chatted for about the first hour or so of the journey then chilled. After quick motorway services. utter ripoff lunch we got back in the car and she slept till we were home.

A very relaxed afternoon spent at home. She decorated her Charlie and Lola flip flops , ate her tea and played rugby tackled wom.

Both children in bed asleep by 7:30
Daddy and I had tea and looked at the photos.

Lee popping back to see his dad tomorrow. I am staying put with the children as we definitely need a quiet / calm / peaceful day!
