Wednesday vs Newcastle

Today we were up early to see Jenny off at work then Luke and I drove up to see grandma as she hasn't been well all week with a sore throat and a wheezy chest.
We met her cat Teddy for the first time who was very lovely and talks a lot. Grandma talks to him as though he understands and has whole conversations with him which is really funny.
She fed him some biscuits from his jar and he was very sweet never snatching them from her hands.

Grandma gave us our engagement gift almost on our one year anniversary, she had cross stitched us a picture of Southwold and framed it for us, it is a piece I have always admired as she has the same picture on her walls.

After our cup of tea with grandma we had to rush off into town to collect dad from the hospital. I had to bring him down to the car on a wheelchair as he was very sore and couldn't walk far.
Once we got him home I set him up in bed and made sure he has his medicines in case he needed them.

When Jenny got home later on we played outside in the garden with the bats and ball before making a start on the tea. We made spinach soufflé with samphire and had a lot of fun along the way - Jen made us all wear party hats and we made summer Pimms with party umbrellas in.
I brought dad a bit of tea for him as he was perking up a bit on the evening.

After tea us three set off for the Hillsborough ground to watch Sheffield Wednesday play a friendly match.
This was the view from our seats in the family stand to watch the Owls play Newcastle United. The team came onto the pitch to the song Hi-Ho Silver Linings to which the fans changed the words Hi-Ho Sheffield Wednesday! The game was lack lustre and although Wednesday played better Newcastle won by 1-0.

Today I am grateful for the chance to spend time with my sister as I know she really appreciates being involved and sharing our company.
