Sheffield at the Beach

This is the fun fair and beach area that has been set up in the peace gardens.

Mum, Jenny, Luke and I all went into town today after dropping Dad off at the hospital for his surgery this afternoon. Mum wanted to go and look for a Nook e-reader. We tried many places but all were out of stock.

After a long morning of trooping around town we decided to eat out and although it took us a long time to decide where to eat, eventually we chose Piccolino's. We ate outside as it was mild and had some delicious food including my truffle pasta with a delicious buttery sauce.

After lunch we headed back to the car and walked through the peace gardens and got all excited about the beach only to find that it isn't open until Thursday!

In the early evening the hospital called to say dad had just come out of surgery so they were keeping him in so we drove home to collect dad some overnight things and dropped mum off to see him whilst we went food shopping for tea.

We went home and had made pizza for tea with dough balls and salad, very tasty. We all ate whilst we watched the commonwealth games on TV.

Today I am grateful for the hospital for performing dad's operation so that he will be in great health for our holiday in September.
