Sarah's 2014

St Pancras Station

This is the view down St Pancras station, as we made a dash for our train I snapped a shot of the intriguing stained glass art created to commemorate the 2012 Olympics. Great colours and it reminds me of an old PC screensaver where different coloured pipes would wind their way across the black screen and entwine themselves together.

We left Ted at home so that Jenny P can take care of him whilst we are gone. We only recently found out that we are neighbours and went for a drink with her at the Fox yesterday to catch up.

This week we are spending our holiday back in Sheffield with my family and hope to get a viewing in of Wentworth Woodhouse so that Luke can see it in person and we can get a better idea of the place as a wedding venue.

We rode the train with Pret A Manger sandwiches and Brides magazine and just as we pulled away imagined if we can boarded the train next to us as it was a Eurostar bound for Paris. Definitely something we must do at least once whilst we are living in London.

We arrived in Sheffield at 4pm and dad collected us in the car. We stopped at Waitrose on the way to pick up some items for tea and then headed home.

Jenny and mum came back later in the afternoon and we ate dinner out in the garden where we were joined by Dusty once she built up her courage!

Today I am grateful for being able to get home so easily compared to living in Dublin.
