Nanayama Waterfall Climb
After hearing about for a few years, I finally was able to participate in the Nanayama International Waterfall Climb in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. Outfitted in a helment, life jacket and water shoes, we made our way up (through) a river and eventually crossed some waterfalls with ropes, jumped off of high rocks into pools and slid down rocks on a natural waterslide. It was very very very fun. The last waterfall I crossed was optional because it was very strong. I slipped and would have been washed away (not that far) had I not held onto the rope for dear life. I have some nice bruises on my knees after getting banged up in the crossing. It was awesome.
