Group on a Bridge

A damp day today as we left Argentiere and made our way over the Col de Balme and down to Trient then up to the Col de Forclaz. As it brightened a little in the afternoon we put in a detour via the the falls at La Prise de Bisse - allowing me to wax lyrical about these fantastic Alpine irrigation systems., which (I hope) took the groups minds off just how steep our improvised detour actually was. At times walking through the forest the humidity was almost over whelming - but the beer on the terrace at the end, just in time for their first view of the mountain tops, seemed to make it all worth while.
