A prickly business.

It was hot here today and the boys refused to move until the sun was dropping towards the horizon.

At about 6pm we set out and our first stop was a small beach on the river, the water is quite low at the moment and crystal clear, with small trout to be seen in the long shallow runs between pools and deeper sections.

Dark blue damsel flies whirl about but never seem to stop unless its on a stinging nettle set back from the waters edge.

I think this is a Green-veined White standing still just long enough for a shot or two.

Will try to get out early tomorrow morning.
