Go slow

This is the oddest plant in the motley collection of plants I call my garden. It has sat there all year with green leaves with me eying it suspiciously wondering if it was actually a weed (it's about a 50:50 hit rate). Then it shot up flower shoots for about two months. And now, ever so cautiously, it has started opening flowers. No idea what it is but it is definitely a slow mover.

As I plan to be this weekend. I have a friend visiting on Sunday afternoon and that is it. Except for car nonsense. I had to go and get a re-printed MOT certificate for my car today. When they say "full service history" does that mean all the MOT failure notices collected over the years? It's all I seem to be able to find......
