POSTCARD FROM SUNNY BOSCOMBE

I went for a long walk along the prom today - unlike the weekend, there were hardly any people on the beach - just the odd one or two determined to get a tan and a few hardy ones swimming in the sea. There were even a few grandparents building sandcastles - I know they were grandparents, because they were older, and the children were off "doing their own thing" while Grandad and Grandma did the digging and building!

Strange how when you are walking slowly and just "drinking in" the atmosphere, you seem to walk further. After a while I decided that I needed to get down nearer to the sea and whilst I was down there, I decided to write a "Hello" in the sand to email to the children at school.

So as well as sending it to the children, I thought I would send it to all my fellow blippers (and also my FB friends who read my blips) - I hope you are having fun wherever you are and that the sun is shining on you - especially those in the north of Scotland who had a "dreich" day yesterday. One good thing about sending an E-postcard is that it gets there within a minute and doesn't cost the earth.

Only a few more days of peace and quiet at the beach because once the schools break up, it will be mayhem - but long may the sun continue to shine.

“Sunshine is helpful for thinking.
It warms up the brain cells.”
Shannon Wiersbitzky

P.S. I understand that Mr. HCB is enjoying the peace and quiet cricket - just hope he remembers to put the suncream on, otherwise he could be quite sore.
