An Ent of our time

Into Mine woods where I had a surfeit of trees to choose from. Unfortuantley it started to rain heavily and I did not have a jacket on so it was a quick blip and back to the shelter of the house.

This image owes a lot to Norse mythology, and the ents of J.R.R.Tolkien’s fantasy world Middle-earth.- that strange race of half-trees half-human-beings.

The woods are very popular with mountain bikers. Here’s a Youtube of them in action.
