White motorway

From the site of a very old ice factory on the lake Sylans we looked across to the "white Motorway" that heads towards Chamonix and the Mt Blanc tunnel. At this point it has passed the 1km Long Nantua viaduct where it stands on 76 m pillars as it dominates the town. Here it is in two separate carriageways and if you look closely ( on large) you will be able to see traffic including a huge lorry travelling along it. Heading in the opposite direction it is about to enter a very long tunnel (1.3k) before making the 11 mile decent to Bourget en Bresse. Remarkable engineering!
