I could have wittered on about the semi-final last night but really, 7-1 tells you everything you need to know. The 20 minutes from the 10th minute until the 30th were jaw-dropping. As much for Brazil's ineptness as for Deutschland's irrepressibility.

And I smiled, as Neuer raged when Germany conceded a goal in the 90th minute.

I can only hope that the game tonight and the one on Sunday live up to that.

The joke running round the office goes like this

"I met a Dutch friend today, he told me they're playing against Argentina tonight. And I said that was a coincidence, we're playing them on Sunday."

In German and when you know about the rivalry between the two, that's a pretty funny joke.
