Declaration of Abroath
With the vote on Scottish independence only weeks away it was natural that some students at Dollar Summer School decided to tackle this theme.
Diana Jackson has taken a novel twist to this with recreating the Declaration of Arbroath, a signed document set to Pope John XX11 in 1320 setting out the case for Scottish independence.
On a practical level I noted that her paper had an aged appearance. How did she achieve that parchment look?
“Coffee,” said Diana, a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art who has been coming to Dollar for nearly 30 years.
