Paolozzi in Stirling
Had lunch today with two ex colleagues in the Smith museum and art gallery in Stirling and we all took the opportunity to take a close look at the Paolozzi sculpture.
This is from their permanent collection and it features in their current exhibition Treasures from the Smith.
Although made in 1974 the piece resonates with technology today where hardly a day goes by without robots somewhere grabbing the headlines whether in self –driving cars or in tiny self-destruct ones that deliver drugs to certain part of the body.
Well, after lunch I popped into Waterstones because I had heard that they are favourable towards promoting local authors.
Would they be interested in my book? to my utter amazement the answer was yes.
Here’s a link to the video we made of the book launch.
