the magic kingdom at last

eurostar packed with over-excited kids. arrived at the disney station to find seas of people in big yellow disney rain ponchos waiting for shuttle buses back to their hotels. first sign of how quickly everyone gets institutionalised.

must admit to being quite excited though.

carpetbiter2 and i went and shot lasers at buzz lightyear's enemies and came out to find carpetbiter1 and dad looking grim. she had refused to go on anything - even the 'it's a small world' ride where hundreds of multi-coloured animatronic dollies dance to the song of the same name.

so used my friend g's parenting technique of using momentum and speed to propel people into doing things and just whisked her into the 'honey i shrunk the audience' show. having done that she was brave enough for the dancing dollies, dumbo the flying elephant and peter pan.

slept soundly in our wild west bedroom with cowboy wallpaper and boot-shaped light.
